Jérôme Allavena is a French artist exploring the entropic dimensions of an image and explores the potentialities of the stroke, the layout and the line. In his work, drawing becomes a place of experimentation. Via this process of construction / deconstruction he embrace these loops like waves. Each time challenging our memory, thus revealing new points of view a simple glance would struggle to decode.
Jérôme Allavena graduated from Art school in 2008, in France. His work was noticed during the 59th edition of Jeune Création in 2009, then during collective exhibitions in art centers such as FRAC Poitou-Charentes (2010, 2014), Palais de Tokyo (2010, 2011) and even Fondation d’entreprise Ricard (Paris, 2012). He also worked in galleries with Anne Barrault Gallery (Paris, 2012), De Roussan Gallery (2012, Belleville Biennale) and Houg Gallery (Paris, 2015). His work was shown in exhibitions in Cork, Ireland. Dallas comptemporary, Texas. Hiroshima 2012, Japan. Hô chi Min, Vietnam. Berlin, Germany. Bruxelles, Belgium and more.
